@huima My everyday work computer is now Linux with Windows virtual machines, the exact opposite of your setup. I’m happy with 8GB of RAM on Ubuntu, compared to your 32GB on Windows 7.
Though I still have my iMac as my main machine – this Windows 7 development machine with linux virtual machines is insanely good with insane amounts of bang for the buck.

With 8 gigs of RAM one can not run multiple 8 gig virtual machines at the same time. I thought about putting Linux as the core OS or putting VMWare baremetal version, but decided to use Windows as there is also possibility of running some games on the same machine someday.
